If they don't feel they can continue I tell them I will suggests one of the kibbles recommended by the Whole Dog Journal. I tell them I prefer my dogs (even pets) not be spayed and neutered but if they are sure, after hearing all the facts, that they want to do so it is their dog and their decision. However, I require that they wait til the dog is at leasts a year old (and prefer 2.) I do give them pages and pages of suggestions on all of the above items you object to. Insist...no. Perhaps this is truly a concerned breeder trying to do the best for her puppies????? I'd like to think there is a difference between being helpful and being controlling.
