Sandra,
I have recently faced the same never-before-encountered flea problem with a
10 year old boxer bitch with kidney problems and a young Cavalier who really
reacts to flea bites. I do not use poisons on or near my dogs. I finally
resorted to using a Neem shampoo last weekend and herbal repellent sprays
along with flea combing daily. I have increased use of fresh garlic, apple
cider vinegar as well as immune system builders like Vit A, E and C. I have
also ordered flea collars that are guaranteed to work and are pesticide free
from www.medipatch.com. Already I'm seeing positive results from the
shampoo, daily flea combing sessions and herbal spray repellants. Hopefully
the flea collars, when they arrive, will put an end to this problem.
