Chere - Type is NOT what the breeders want the breed to look like. As someone, Jeanne maybe, sent to the list, Type is what makes the breed what it is...it is the possession of breed hallmarks and the special qualities that make a Cavalier different from a Tibbie, or from an ET. When a Cavalier looks like another breed, it has no type. Style is different, and I think you are talking about style. Twiggy is still typey, if you think about it...she has the qualities that make her a female, not a male. However, she is out of style. Someone else compared Elizabeth Taylor to Nicole Kidman...both have type...they are different styles. Peggy
