Susan, several other breeders used this same foundation strain, (Pargeter) and were quite successful at preserving the best breed type, longevity, sound structure, etc. thru the generations. I think that the basic breed type has come thru, however the markings such as freckling on the particolors has cleaned up, and I'm guessing the chocolate coat coloring has disappeared from most breeding programs.
