According to the ophthalmologist at the Atlanta show, the eyes of Cavaliers have never been studied and there is no proof that what is perceived as geographic dysplasia even is so. He has seen a lot of strange things such as totally clear (not a single fold even as a puppy) Cavaliers for years suddenly developing what looks to all intents and purposes just like geographic dysplasia. According to him a dog must be born with geographic dysplasia.
Has anyone heard this from any other ophthalmologist and what are your thoughts on this?
