I have taken my boy on several flights with me...It will cost you $75...some
airlines want to see a health cert. I would recommend that you get one in
case on one of your flight legs' it is required...I also had my papers of
ownership and book of details...Pictures hip-eye-heart- looks official...You
allways have to check in at the counter and I would recommend that you
allways have the pet in the serpa bag when going to the counter...Some times
they want to see the dog to make sure it is not to large, I find that
allready in the bag I just upzip a small area and show them...Of course when
they see a Cavalier they fall in love with it...I take him to x-ray and then
remove and take thru scanners on a leash with me I will then put him back in
serpa...Some terminals allow you to let your dog walk with you I allways ask
on the other side of security check point...Phoenix is one of those
terminals...On the plane I would recommend you let flight attendants know
that you are the one with the pet...I never take him out of serpa bag even if
one attendant say's it is ok, I have seen where another or passengers have
different feelings....I will give him an ice cube every 1 1/2 hrs. so he can
get moisture...I would recommend you not feed him or her the day of the
flight it sure helps avoid any potty problems... My boy had to stay in the
serpa for 7 hrs on flight back from Boston to LA he was a great flyer as most
Cavalier's are, they just go to sleep... Do not be concerned about problems
these suggestions should avoid problems for you..Do call and reserve ahead of
time to make sure you have a reservation and make sure it is on your
ticket...Many airlines allow only one in first class and two in coach...
