Hi Judi..I totally agree with you. In my case they kept asking to see her and I couldn't very well say no. They just peeked at her in the sherpa bag. I printed out the airlines rules about pets in the cabin from their website and took it with me so if there was a problem like you described I would have it in writing what their rules were. I found Alaska to be very dog friendly considering between 2 flights we had 7 COTW members and about 10 dogs all flying to Ca....lol. The Pacific Northwest was well represented...:) Nancy
