I'm embarrassed to say that I have been known to get down on the floor and woof at my dogs. They seem to really like it. I sort of imitate the sounds that they make when play-fighting with one another. I think it is the same kind of situation I used to have when very little when my dad would join in our kiddy games and get down to our height while chasing us around. We all loved it and squealed with excitement when that happened. I think the puppies feel the same way and are enthralled when God (us) play their games with them.
Sometime lie on your back on the floor and watch what the puppies do. The adults will also happily respond with unbridled excitement. I do not think that the puppies would be harmed by this...they would enjoy it once they figured out that it was a form of play.
