Almost all questions answered, ex the printer. I used to have one like it 
(but with the wide carriage), and i was allways able to print with it. It 
will work with the supplied (driver) or as a text only printer.
If you still feel like unsure, I think we could manage someone to watch your 
steps during installation and slap you on the wrist when you are about to do 
something wrong :-)
