Thanks for the input. Will check into Memory Express first, as I think I'd like to stay local if at all possible. (Taking along a copy of Knoppix is a great suggestion... I will definitely be doing that. :-)
I also took a look at the Dell Vostro 1500--that machine has specs in line with what I'm looking for, so that may be an option too as long as the wireless isn't a problem. Thanks again! Cheers, Rick
