You could code it as a 0/1. You are required to do an OBRA admission
assessment by day 14. So you could just write a note stating
comprehensive assessment not done as resident discharged on such and
such date.

Subject: OBRA admission assessment question again

Hi,
I don't think I got a clear answer on this one or maybe I just
still don't understand it.
I work in a hospital based SNF, average LOS in 12 days. What my
question is, is, if the patient is discharged on day 14, do I have to
code my 5 day as a 1/1 or can I code it as 0/1. I am confused about
when exactly you are required to do the OBRA assessment by.
