So what do you do when they don't leave on day 14, doesn't that admission assessment need to be completed and signed by day 14? So if you do a 5 day on day 5 and code it 0/1, when do you set your 14 day assessment and complete it, in order to stay compliant with OBRA?

Here are some other answers given to this question recently: The top of page 1-15 states "An RAI must be completed for any resident resident residing in the facility longer than 14 days, including:" So it would not be "longer" than 14 days if the resident left before the end of the 14th day. If they left before 11.59 PM on day 14 , an admission assessment is not required. You need to keep any assessment that you started, but did not complete, on the resident's medical record and make a notation about why the assessment was not completed. If any experts out there (Rena?
