No consideration for intent? Was she malicious or overworked or poorly trained or etc ?  I wouldn’t want to work for someone that didn’t take all things into consideration.

Are you all missing the point here? Destruction of a legal document? It's a small step to altering a document. For this, would you "give her a day off"?
