This is due more to the increase in ADL dependency rayjer than the RM vs. RH
categories. This points out how critical it is to accurately assess ADLs.

When meeting with your therapist you realize that sometimes the RM category
will pay more than the RH category. Look at RMC verses RHA

I sit down with a person from our therapy department 3-4x/wk to set ARD's
and check on the residents minutes. this only takes about 10 minutes. RH vs
RM may not seem like a lot to you for one day, but added up over say a 7 day
length of stay. then figure in the number of residents this is happening to
and you have a big chunk of change. Meeting with therapy has made a big
difference for us.

We have a new therapy company. On their first day they asked me to unlock a
PPS MDS and change the ARD because they thought they could capture a higher
RUG score. I refused. Now they are asking me to change the ARDs soon after
I post the schedule. This does not usually involve RV-RU groups-often RM
and RH. I think this may be legal as they are asking me to change the dates
prior to the ARDs but I'm not sure this is ethical. I definitely don't
think it is standard practice. Can anyone validate this?
