My experience using the short UK keyboard with US system software on a 512K is that
the keys on the bottom row (zxcvbnm etc) are shifted one key along and that the return
key doesn't work.
My first step is to dig out the Localizer application which I've had no problems using
with System 3.x and earlier. I've not tried with System 4.x and higher as I have UK
system disks for these. To use Localizer successfully, install it on a system disk;
when you run Localizer, the program will load and your system disk will eject; remove
the ejected disk and insert the disk that you wish to localize.
I don't think that System 6 includes a keyboard file for the small UK keyboard so I
think the original poster may have to resort to a full size model.
