I don't know how difficult it would be to get a reliable one at this late date, but if you can find one in good condition, I second Phil's recommendation. Note that the LaserJet 4 Plus is the same printer minus the Postscript Option. For Mac use, you need the Postscript option which is in the form of a special SIMM which occupies one of the memory slots. The 4M+ also has an MIO slot which accepts any of several different network options. Many (all?) of them shipped standard with a combination LocalTalk/ethernet card installed in that slot to which Phil referred. There is also a 100 Mbps ethernet option available.
