Pretty much any HP laserprinter with the M after it's number has postscript, is networked and is designed for the Mac (wanna guess what the M stands for). Many of the machines that don't have the M suffix can be upgraded to the "M" version by adding a postscript SIMM, network MIO card and probably memory. I've worked with several such HP printers and they've all been good. They don't hook up to the ADB port. Depending on the interface they are either LocalTalk, Ethernet or both. There are several versions of the HP LJ 4M (designated by various other letter suffixes). They have little in common. -- Clark Martin Redwood City, CA, USA Macintosh / Internet Consulting "I'm a designated driver on the Information Super Highway" -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
