That's the point of a streaming protocol: with a streaming protocol the acks and error correction codes are sent out of sync, and with a *MODEM protocol you can reduce the error checking to a parity calculation... a 68000 should be able to handle parity at full speed. -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
