Hm?  What do you mean?  Yes, of course, it can happen that the terminal
is too big (width/height) to fit on the screen.

In that case, I'd propse to make the terminal smaller, so that it fits.

Yes, that's right.  But I'd never recommend (X)Emacs to a newbie.  There
are far easier text editors out there (eg. vim *G*).
