And a double ??? to you. Just joking. I didn't mean that it hadn't
evolved towards making it easier for newbies. I have only been using
Linux since 7.2 Mandrake, and have seen huge progress toward that point.
I guess the evolve part would apply to multimedia video mainly, but I
also understand the proprietary part and the problems that involves.
That is about the only thing I ever run into at websites and don't work.
Shockwave, Flash, and a lot of the things do work and work great. MPG's
and AVI's do have problems and require setup. I get them setup one time
and if for some reason reinstall, I just don't feel it is worth the
hassle setting them all back up again or just don't remember exactly how
I did it before.

Where did the VI part come from. I don't remember mentioning it. I only
use that when I have to, like computer won't boot all the way.

You got a Great Point there! I was using KPackage the other day and noticed

that it was showing the commands that it was using to remove a package
and I thought how good that was. Not like I hadn't seen it before, just
struck more of a cord at that moment. In an educational way would be
something that could help in the future if something breaks on you,...
Even if not you learn something about the process.
