KDE defaults aren't written in blood. Mandrake should alter KDE defaults to whatever their customer base prefers. If the majority of the customer base prefers double click then it really ought to be double click. Now it appears that I've misunderstood the KDE double click bug in tree views. Indeed this is a real bug. So let's get it fixed. Go report it to bugs.kde.org. Figure out who the maintainer is. Heck dig into the code and figure out why it behaves that way and fix it. Going back and forth bitching about this bug is pointless.
