Hi,
I think it would be kind of risky to try to slice an English muffin
in half with an electric knife because the muffin is so narrow.
I just use my fingers, or a fork, to pull the muffin apart. A knife
squishes all those "nooks and crannies," whereas if you just pull
them apart with your fingers, the nooks and crannies are still in
tact for trapping the melted butter! (This doesn't work with
store-brand muffins though! You have to have the Thomas's!)

Doesn't sound very safe. I'll stick with my regular knives. I used
to have an electic bagel slicer, though, that was quite handy.
Unfortunately, it went to bagel-slicer heaven, and I've not been able
