yes vicky but if the batter is too thin it will spread out all over and
you'll have a mess. i make the batter thick enough to hold its shape when i
pour it out on the grill until i lower the lid down lightly. i don't push
the lid like i do for a hamburger. you know how fast things cook on it so
instead of letting pancakes on too long i check it so it doesn't overcook.
you have to experiment at first. i tried at first without oil but when they
stuck i started to put a thin layer of oil on my george forman. once you
find the right steps for you you'll start making pancakes more often.

O:K Paul, does that mean you ladle out the pancake batter,(what about
a third cup?) and you actually lower the top griddle over the pancakes
on the bottom griddle so it is getting done on both sides at the same
time?...v

I don't think they would turn out on the grill that makes the marks, but
I
do think they do have one that has the removable plates, and I think one
is
a griddle. Then you could with that one, but I don't know how that works.

Vickie,
I use a spatula, once I feel that the underside is seeming to be cooked,
put
it underneath & turn it over.
We use a grittle here, so we have a larger surface to work on.

the question has come up on one of my lists:
how do you flip pancakes and keep them in the pan?
