When I cook oatmeal in the microwave, I do it for 30 seconds, then stir,
then another 30 seconds then stir and then another final 30 seconds then
stir and eat. So, it takes 90 seconds but I break that time up so the
oatmeal will settle down and it never boils over. I use to cook the instant
at work and it was fine that way. I cooked it with skim milk instead of
water.

I don't remember what the directions were, but I usually divide the time
into thirds and stir. If the oatmeal is quite warm after the second stir,
cut down the time for the last cooking. Also, it is helpful to use a
taller bowl.

Hello,
Whenever I cook oatmeal following the package directions, it ends up all
over the carousell in the microwave. Any suggestions?
