Smokey Country Style Ribs
4 pounds pork or beef ribs
Garlic salt
Freshly ground pepper
1 1/4 cups ketchup
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons hickory smoke liquid flavoring
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Sprinkle ribs with garlic salt and pepper. In a medium saucepan, combine
remaining ingredients, except ribs. Cook over medium heat about 10 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Keep warm. Place ribs, with bones down, on a rack in
a shallow roasting pan. Baste with sauce. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to
2 1/2 hours, turning and basting with sauce every 30 minutes. Cut into
serving size pieces. Heat the remaining sauce and serve with ribs.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings.

15 saltine crackers, crushed
2 cups milk
1 pint fresh oysters
Combine cracker crumbs and milk and mix well. Stir in oysters. Pour mixture
into a 9 inch greased baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

1 package Betty Crocker Sour Cream White Frosting Mix
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1 package Betty Crocker Sour Cream White Cake Mix
1 can (13 1/2 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup seedless green grapes, halved
1/2 cup chopped pecans
In small mixer bowl, combine dry frosting mix and whipping cream. Cover;
chill 1 hour. Bake cake mix in oblong pan, 13 by 9 by 2 inches, as directed
on package. Blend frosting mixture; beat until stiff. Fold in remaining
ingredients. Cut cake into squares; top with frosting mixture. If you wish,
garnish with additional grapes. Cover and refrigerate any leftover sauce.
