I've heard the same thing about the pepper bumps. I never knew if it was true or not. I decided to try to do some research and I looked it up. Basically, the myth is not true. Peppers are a fruit because it has seeds. Anything with seeds is considered a fruit. Fruits, including peppers, have no gender. The bumps do not mean it is a certain sex. It is just due to the variety of the pepper. Here is a link on what I read.
