Let me know what you think if you do try it, Malaina. I neglected to
mention that when you cook them with the cut-side down, besides the
aroma of grilled hotdog, you can tell they are done on that side
because they will feel a little crusty. When you turn them over so
the skin-side is down, you won't feel a crustiness to the skin, oddly
enough. You just need to watch and make sure it doesn't cook too
long, or the hotdog will start to shrivel.

I think I erred in the timing of the cut-side down; I believe it's
about two minutes.

Here's another way of serving hotdogs: Instead of on buns or bread
with condiments, heat a corn tortilla. After cooking the hotdog,
place it on the tortilla, top with cheese, roll up the tortilla; place
on a paper plate and warm in the microwave about forty to fifty
seconds to let the cheese melt.

WARNING: The cheese oozes out onto the plate. That's what chips are
for! Scoop up some cheese on tortilla chips, or whatever your
favorite chip is.
