Ed, I agree, and think you are correct. Service Bulliten 53/53A covered re-inforcinf the rear center spar.....and was the subject of AD 59-05-04 for all Ercoupes, and was installed at the factory on and after S/N 4869 and subsequent...So one would expect the fabric wings were in fact modified in
accordence with the AD, back in 1959/60.
