> Warren, I could not agree with you more. I truly wish that I could remove the aluminum from my Alon wings and install fabric. There are several valid reasons for this. [1] Lighter weight [2] A smoother airfoil surface [3] A "Rag Wing" will probably have to be covered again in about 1-15 years. I think it is a great idea to look inside wings at that point to ward off and corrosion that may have crept in. [4] I believe the rag wing will take more flexibility than a metal wing. [5] it is certaintly easier to repair if the event of damage. Our airplanes are OLD, lets face it. Virtually EVERY ONE has SOME corrosion SOMEWHERE!
