It is interesting to hear the different methods of siphoning tanks.  I
disassembled my tanks ( 9 gallon with level indicator on left main tank)
and there is a baffle spot welded to the tank surrounding the fill
connection.  There are a few small slots at the bottom and top to allow
fuel to get into the tank.  The only way to siphon the tank would be to
remove the level indicator and use that opening.  On the right main
tank, there is no level indicator, but there is a baffle, so siphoning
that tank would be impossible.
I have photo's of the internals of the tanks if anyone is interested.
