Landing speed in a coupe is 65 to 75 , depending on model Coupe.
I learned that the later Alon models do have less air flowing over the
elevator due to fuselage design.

So leaving a little power in, or keeping a higher speed is recommended.
Speed is relative. Airspeed meter readings differ from plane to plane as
much as 25 MPH.
When you read 70 in your plane you actually might fly 90, you never know.
With all the components influencing airspeed readings, you will never have
correct values.
You'll need to find out for yourself what the best approach speed is.

The power off stall times 1.3 will bring you in the ballpark of 65 and
when fully loaded to 70
provided that
The you fly in standard air and have a brand new airspeed system .

But the power off stall calculation is only something for safety. A more
practical thing is to shoot
for an airspeed which will give you a rate of sink of around 500 fpm. This
seems to me the best speed
then for approach and emergency in any given Coupe.

Airspeed readings do differ from plane to plane , VSI readings usually do
not. (?)

And yes, Ercoupes do not have flaps, but flaps lower the stall speed just
by a margin.
