I do not think that you need the spacers in your setup.
The donuts go bad after a few years because they are made from rubber
and lose its power after a certain time. You will be surprised how the
picture changes when these are replaced. 

Adding the spacers should not be necessary in your case , because Your
Alon was originally delivered with the double fork nose gear ( this is
where the tail low problem usually starts)

Adding the spacers shortens the available length for dampening in your
MLG.
