Thanks Claude! I was puzzled as to how one quartewave whip could be any more "broadband" than any other. All I could figure out was that there might be a loading coil in the base for a 5/8, but that didn't seem to be the case, so I guess this just another case of questionable advertising. Any long term advantage to the fiberglass antenna's BNC connector? I covered mine at the antenna end with coax seal to keep moisture out. I used a Bird meter and found a nice flat SWR at 121.50.
I guess if you already have an antenna installed on top, and have dual comm radios it would be really cool to have one antenna on the top and one on the bottom!
