Ah, but it is. There are a lot of virtues in that old bird. A Tri-Pacer without the pretense of being a family flivver. I has what you need, leaves out what you don't. With updated valves, the engine has the highest TBO in GA, at 2400 hours. About the same price as a good ultralight. Our local EAA chapter Pres. has one that is a show-winner restoration. An airplane that, like the Ercoupe, says in a very unassuming fashion 'hey, let's go flying, leave your troubles at the office, you'll feel better when we get back. Never mind that you're tired, I won't ask much and I'll bring you home feeling like the day was a lot shorter than it was.' Pretty hard to beat that.
