Classic Ercoupe accident. Too damn slow on final, tried to recover with
the 
limited
elevator available, didn't do so, and smote the earth hard, nose up.

He probably wasn't 'stalled' per se, but he clearly wasn't making enough
lift
either.

As my primary instructor said: 'airspeed, airspeed, airspeed!'

And LOOK at what the hell is happening outside the window, and KEEP FLYING
THE PLANE all the way down!
