If you are responding to what I posted, please reread it. I never said that
US policy was not aligned with capitalism, but I do maintain that US policy
is not 100% capitalist-oriented. If one wishes to understand US foriegn
policy --say, in order to defeat it -- one must have an accurate view of its
components. It is a fairly common mistake for socialists/marxists to see a
'conspiracy theory' of capitalists in every policy. This is
counterproductive to advancing their cause.

If in your journey through college you neglected to discover the influences
of the Puritan Ethic, right wing Millenialism, racism, xenophobia, and other
non-capitalist interests in formulating US policy, you should go straight to
the bursar's office and demand your tuition back. Another very basic thing
you should have learned in college was the danger of using "always" and
"never", but that is a generalized failing of lawyers.

But, yes, please, Linda. Tell us about your attempts to write legislation!

Tom

I have attempted to write or suggest legislation as a union leader or
