Not trying to be rude here, but 128 Tickrate uses about 1.5x more cpu, and
1000fps used about 2% more cpu per srcds instance.
I don't see where that cpu would cost $25/month extra, or even $14.99/month
extra.
This is coming from someone who's also hosting the same servers, and has been
since CS:S was released in 2004.
I understand clients wanting better performance, and willing to pay additional
money to get it, but when you're blatantly taking advantage of clients
who actually believe these myths, and then you're going on the mailing list and
saying that you can't verify any performance gains, but you're going to
continue to market it for an additional $25/month..
That's shady, and should be frowned upon, being open about being involved in a
scam doesn't make it right.

To be fair to John from Nfo, at least he is honest about not believing there
to be a benefit to those tweaks. The nature of the market and customer demands
force him into supplying those options, and because they have a real impact on
server load force him into charging more.
It is really on Valve to come out and say that 1000fps or 128 tic has no
effect, and if that is the case disabling them.
