I get where you're coming from, but you're talking to a community that complains every single time any update is released because updating servers is too inconvenient. Valve was just working for the majority when they chose to patch a game breaking exploit as an optional update so as to avoid thirty replies about how inconvenienced everybody was at having to update two days in a row.
