Sure it is...legally, perjury is considered a 'weightier' crime than
bribery...
Federal judges have been impeached merely for frequenting bawdy houses...
Any behavior which is considered misconduct in office is impeachable,
somethign our founding fathers recognized, as they drew upon the history
and precedents of impeachment in the English Parliamentary system...where
members have ALSO been impeached for spending time with prostitutes...

Which is why the House impeaches, and the Senate holds a trial...if two-
thirds of the Senate deems that the charges have merit and vote the
president out of office, then the criminal proceedings can commence...
What you are arguing for is keeping a potentially criminally liable
person in office until his term of office ends...
