Sharad, If you open the attribute table for the data I updated, you will see a field named "level" Within this field are the different types (C.D.BLOCK, CIRCLE, COMMUNUE PANCHAYAT, ,DEVELOPMENT BLOCK, MANDAL, POLICE STATION, R.D. BLOCK, SUB DIVISION, TALUK, TEHSIL, TOWN, ETC). I converted this data to shapefile; essentially this is raw data, nothing updated or edited. As per the censusindia.gov.in, these levels are supported. The dev info data Avinash uploaded is a good starter dataset too (that is all I claimed what I uploaded to be as well). Both the dev info data and the data I uploaded have pros and cons - users can determine this themselves. As per our conversation yesterday, could you upload your data? You keep criticizing everyone else's data, but you don't share your own!?? Help me help you :)
