At first glance it does seem so. There are abundant how-to examples on the
web and youtube which adds to its friendliness. Here's one example. Looks
like he has a step-by-step video guide and this starts off with the first
simple step: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWU0WdMJ2Kw

It isn't "on the fly" friendly like DP is but there is no need for
programming language know-how.

It also claims to work as front end for other database including text so I'm
wondering if it can make populating it from DP a piece of cake.

I wonder if our good friend Brian over there down under has any insight on
this Libreoffice. Would appreciate your input Brian.

Ed.

I started 2 years later, so I'm almost as stubborn as you but my clients and
I are getting
desperate.

Does Libreoffice database have the advantage of DataPerfect which is an
extraordinary
program because it does not require the use of a programming language?

I don't mind paying for a good program, if only DP would upgrade to Windows.
Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
