What is the exact message of the crash?  If it mentions "user32.dll" and 
"initializing", it's the known problem (which we are trying to find a 
workaround for), but this should effect all versions equally (unless there 
is something Microsoft isn't telling us).  If it is something else, we'll 
need to know the exact error message so we can investigate it.
