Thanks.  That will help quite a bit in tracking down the problem.  It looks 
like it may be within the DNS engine.

Would it be possible to look at the IMail \IMail\spool\sys0924.txt log 
file, and look at around 1:09AM to see the sender of the E-mail ("MAIL 
FROM:" line)?  The spool name is Dce31124, so it should be a few lines up 
from where that E-mail is first referenced.  I think that the domain name 
of the sender could have possibly caused the problem to occur, and might be 
enough to let us reproduce the problem here.
