OK, so we need both _pt and _pt_BR. You still might find synergy between
your project and the Portugese (country) project. In my quick look at the
files, I noticed properties which were translated identically. These only
need to be translated once because the lookup machinery will look first for
"pt_BR", then "pt" (and finally "en" if neither of those are found).
Since there is already a project created and you are a developer, that's
definitely the right place for the source files. Before you commit them you
should rename them to match the proper naming style
("action_pt_BR.properties" not "OK_action.properties").
Testing is a requirement, so you should try to find someone else who can
help you test if you can't do it yourself. Obviously they need to be a
native speaker as well as familiar with UML and computer terminology.
When it looks like everything is working, contact the main project leader,
Linus Tolke, about getting the translation packaged with the standard
distribution.
