This is just information that might help your work.
OpenOffice.org Japanese from the beginning has been released with a
Japanese translation for 'Sheet' which is used as a prefix of sheet name,
followed by a sheet number.
With the following reasons, Japanese community has been discussing the
translation for years.
(1) The word 'Sheet' has been translated into a Japanese character u8868
meaning a table. That could be considered a mistranslation.
(2) Excel Japanese leaves 'Sheet' untranslated. For making it easier to
rewrite VBA macros of Excel file into OpenOffice.org BASIC, leaving
the word could be better than translating it into local language.
For the upcoming OpenOffice.org 3.0, an issue 90424 has been filed.
Possible solutions might be:
(1) A word sheet that appears in the menu, online-help, and somewhere
else except the tab could be translated into a Japanese word meaning
sheet.
(2) A word sheet for the tab could be revised back to an untranslated
word 'Sheet.'
The discussion has been just starting, and nothing has been decided yet.
I would recommend taking account of how Excel Vietnamese treats the word
'Sheet' to avoid possible concerns in the near future.

that string was outside the GSI file for some strange reason. It's hard
to decide which string it is, if it is in the GSI file, since a
placeholder is apparently not used for the number.
I suppose I'll check if the sheet tabs are translated in the next build,
and if not, I'll have to report it as a bug.
