>- see footer for list info -< Terry, I just realised it's you! This is [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Though I haven't logged on for 6 months!). I disabled DEP for the installer as the technote suggested and CF installed on one of my servers but not on the others. I then uninstalled CF on the machine that it installed on, rebooted, then tried to install again. It failed. The initial success must have been another one of those one-off flukey installs that happen 1/10 times.
Just got a reply from Macromedia UK after a lot of effort to get them to talk to me. > Dear Gary > > Regarding your ColdFusion 7 installation issue, unfortunately server > support is only provided in the United States. I passed your query onto the > Technical Support Team, but they are not specialized in server products and > are not able to help you further. > What is it with Macromedia? Any other company would have logged my problem and put an engineer on the job to sort it out by now. My client is a government organisation, I can't say any more than that, but when I told MM they still didn't care. If this project gets cancelled or the technology is changed there may be some red faces at MM or Adobe when them in the ivory tower (management) finds out. I'd call up management if only I knew who to speak to. There was a product manager in the UK called Franklin or someone but I think he's left now. Cheers, Gary.
