Shai, why do you think index sorting is done after it has been written (this 
patch) v.s. done before writing (LUCENE-4752 proposal)?  Is it harder and more 
complicated to write it sorted in the first place?  Or maybe it would slow 
writing down when this is the kind of thing that could be scheduled to a 
nightly job?  Just guessing.  The lack of support for deleted documents is 
surprising; is this API typically used in a batch job that first deletes then 
sorts?
