I have seen that art has the eternal debate of attachments. Unfortunately
the lack of education in IT has caused users to adopt some very wrong uses
of email. Attachements is one of these.
So I think we have two challenges here:
1. re-educate the user on how to share files on the internet.
2. proivide OOo Art tools to ease and solve the problem.
I have 2 proposals. One is editing the site so we let users know ways on
sharing their large PSD / XCF files to other users.
These can be sites like rapidshare.com, sendfiles.com, tinyurl, and so on.
The other is having a public upload site so that it have aditional
services like RSS, disable authentication, mod_rewrite to generate simpler
URLs.
I also think is time to get the art their own project and not hang off
marketing anymore. Should we have an art.openoffice.org?
Please give feedback on these proposals.
