Bernhard was the (very active) leader of the Art project at the time and made a suggestion http://marketing.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=art&msgNo=2185 which eventually lead to a proposal on the list http://marketing.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=art&msgNo=2217 but after some discussions there did not seem to be a strong case for a split. By all means, make another proposal. If it encourages more people to contribute, then I'm all in favour. There is certainly less activity now in Art than there was when Bernhard made his proposal.
