What makes the German project and Autopilot different from the French project and the Stylist ?
That we were asked, is not the same, as if we would do our own translation. German and french translations are done (and "controlled" by Sun). If we would change this single term, we had to build our own OpenOffice.org package (not provided by Sun but by our community) In theory this could be done, but would cause some troubles with Sun's business plans, as Sun is selling Support and services for Sun-Provided OpenOffice.org builds.
And if the community would provide an own build, this would mean a fork.
